An experiment in brevity

Kristen at No Small Thing tagged me for a six-word memoir meme. Started by Book Babie, it's based on the story that Hemingway once bet $10 that he could sum up his life in six words. His memoir: For Sale: baby shoes, never worn.

Here are the rules:

1. Write your own six-word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3. Link to the person who tagged you and to the original post so it can be tracked as it travels across the blogosphere.
4 .Tag five more blogs with links.
5. And don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!

The rule is six words, y'all. It took me three separate posts (and who knows how many words) just to tell you that a opossum walked into my house. And remember this debacle?

But it was actually pretty fun to mull over and try to sum up my life in just a few words. So without further ado, here's my six-word memoir:

Rescued by Jesus. Hopeless with hair.

For obvious reasons, I didn't include a picture of Jesus and me on a bad hair day. It was hard to choose so I'll share my runner-ups too:
  • Laughing often doesn't make me shallow.
  • Need forehead tattoo: Sorry I'm late.
I tag Jen at Just Passing Through, Jenny at Hello., Kristen at A Seminary Life, Emily at Letters moving and The Mediocre Perfectionist.

Yay! That was great! I'm hopeless with hair, too. :)

um, I really don't know if I can do that in six words. Seriously, brevity is not my stong point. :)

I'm totally up for this! I have to think for a moment. Check my blog tomorrow. I'm going to lay in bed tonight, stare at the ceiling, and think about my six words. :-)

It is noteworthy that most people when asked to sum up their lives they do it with humor and optimism. Proves that we are a positive bunch of species, only a few would deviate.

That's a really good meme.
