That's a great post Katie, but I'm afraid we might all grow up in need of repair, even those kids whose parents had the best of intentions. That's just part of the beauty of being people. We are frail, and yet God still pours his grace into our lives. Madeline is going to grow up and be fabulous like her mother, with little cracks that allow her leak the grace of God onto other people.
You guys are such great parents already! But can totally understand how you would feel.
And no--I never eat cupcakes emotionally. Just like I never would eat a whole pint of Ben & Jerry's or 6 cookies--who does that?!? ;)
Reading your post and looking at the newborn photo of Reese I am reminded of how innocent our children are...I pray everyday that Reese will grow up healthy and happy in spite of my downfalls....oh sigh, it is an overwhelming feeling...wanna go to The Flying Cupcake? J/k
